💗💗Intro to Arm Balances💗💗 Typically, crow pose (Bakasana) is the first arm balance that beginners try. I found it much less intimidating to practice astavakrasana because the face planting risk was lower. Stretch your hips and hamstrings before trying. When you are ready, sit with your legs straight out in front of you. Lift your right leg as high as you can get it over your right shoulder (or over your upper arm, if that's all your flexibility will allow). Hands on the ground on either side of you. Lift your ass, lift your foot. This is elephant trunk's pose. Get this move down before moving on. When you are ready, swing your raised left leg to the right, hook your ankles together, extend your legs out to the right, and lean into chaturanga arms. Good luck! Let me know how you do!!
